Ingredients for your Matcha Cookies (12 cookies)

💚 110g semi-salted butter
💚 70g white sugar
💚 70g brown sugar
💚 1 egg
💚 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
💚 150g flour
💚 2g baking powder
💚 6g Matchilo matcha (flavor of choice: natural, Strawberry)
💚 80g white or dark chocolate

Preparing the Matcha Cookies

  • Cut the butter into pieces, then melt it in a small saucepan over low heat.
  • Once melted, transfer the butter to a cold container, then let it cool to room temperature.
  • Once the butter is well cooled, mix it with the white sugar and brown sugar until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Add the egg, vanilla extract, then the sifted matcha tea powder.
  • Sift the baking powder with the flour, then incorporate the mixture into the previous preparation.
  • Add the crushed chocolate as chocolate chips.
  • Let the dough rest ideally for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  • On baking paper, form 12 small balls of dough.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Let cool completely.
